How do I schedule a cake tasting and consultation?
To schedule a cake tasting you can go to our contact page and fill out the form listed. You can also email us directly at sweetsomethingsbyashleigh@gmail.com and include your wedding date, venue, guest count as well as any pictures of designs that you like.
How many people can I bring with me to my tasting and consultation?
While we LOVE meeting everyone important to you our bakery space is limited. We can comfortably fit 3 guests at the tasting!
What can we expect at the cake tasting and consultation?
Cake tastings and consultations normally last about one hour. You will get to sample 6 different flavors of cake and paired fillings. We will discuss all aspects of your cake design and you will leave with a full sketch of your cake as well as all of the details and cake contract.
My schedule is too hectic to come in for a full tasting appointment, what else can I do?
We completely understand how busy life can get, that's why we offer cake samples on the go! We box up all the flavors you would try at a full tasting/consultation for you to pick up and try on your own time. Cake design and details can easily be done via phone and email! Email us at sweetsomethingsbyashleigh@gmail.com to set up a time to pick up samples.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we do! In order to secure your date we require a 50% non-refundable retainer. Once you've had your tasting/consultation we will hold your date for 72 hours. Once that 72 hour period is up we cannot guarantee your date. Your date is not secure until we receive your retainer. All balances are due 30 days before the wedding date.
What if I want to make changes to my design or guest count?
You can make any changes to your order up until 30 days before your wedding date. By then you should have your final headcount and we can always adjust your servings accordingly!
When will you deliver my cake/cakes?
We typically deliver cakes 2 hours before the event. This allows us time to get set up before guests arrive!
What if we have cake left over?
We always leave 1-2 cake boxes just in case you have extra cake at the end of the night!
We really love your cakes but I think you're out of my budget.
Our cakes are surprisingly affordable! Please come to us and see how we may be able to help you before thinking we are out of your budget. Sometimes you may not need as much cake as you think or we are able to come up with ways to meet your budget!
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check or credit card! We are able to send invoices via email for you to easily pay online.

Here at Sweet Somethings we focus solely on weddings. Our cakes are baked fresh (never frozen) with only quality ingredients. We take only a limited number of orders per weekend so that each cake gets the attention it deserves!
